A-1 Steak Sauce Steakhouse Stew

If you are a Meat and Potatoes person, or a person who enjoys a special night out at your favorite steakhouse, I have a new soup for you to try!

You can use your favorite steak sauce, but the rich bold flavor of A-1 was the perfect one for me.

1 T. vegetable oil
2 lbs. beef tips, cut into 1/2" pieces
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 T. minced garlic
4 cups beef broth
10 oz. A-1 Steak Sauce
1 T. chili powder
1 t. ground cumin
2 T. chopped parsley
3 cups peeled, diced potatoes
16 oz. frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, green peas, green beans, corn)
1/4 t. cayenne pepper (optional)

In a 5 - 6 quart Dutch oven, heat oil over medium-high heat. When the oil shimmers, add beef tips, onions, and garlic. Cook, stirring frequently until beef has browned and onions begin to soften.

Lower heat to medium and add remaining ingredients. Stir well.

Cook until potatoes are tender, 25 - 30 minutes.

Serve with cornbread or rolls.

  1. I haven't had A-1 in a long time. I use to eat it like ketchup at one time.
