Air Fryer Garlic Lemon Chicken

This afternoon was the perfect time to cook some chicken in my new Taotronics Air Fryer.  I was pleased with the results.  The drumsticks were perfectly cooked, tender, moist, and full of flavor.  Because of my love of lemon, I doubled the amount given in the recipe.  In 20 minutes, the chicken was ready for lunch.

2 T. olive oil
1 lemon, juiced and zested
1 T. garlic powder
2 t. paprika
1 1/2 t. salt
1 t. dried oregano
1/2 t. black pepper
1/2 t. brown sugar
6 chicken legs (or thighs) skin on

Mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic powder, paprika, salt, oregano, black pepper, and brown sugar in a small bowl.

Place the chicken in a gallon size Ziploc bag and pour in the marinade.  Turn the bag over a few times to completely coat the chicken.  Let marinate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes at 380 degrees F.  Place the chicken on the racks in a single layer allowing enough space in between the pieces to allow the air to circulate freely.

Cook chicken for 20 minutes at 380 degrees F. rotating the racks halfway  through the cooking time.  When the cooking time is completed, check the internal temperature of the chicken which should be 165 degrees.
