Each month in the Alabama Power bill, there's a recipe from someone in the State that's been chosen to be included. I've decided to make some of these and share with all of you.
This recipe is from Gail Gurganus of Cordova. I used frozen (and thawed) blueberries, but the recipe calls for fresh. When I'm able to get locally grown fresh ones, I'll be making this again. Enjoy! This would be great to serve at your Memorial Day cookout.
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
3/4 cup regular oats, uncooked
1/2 cup real butter (not margarine), melted
4 cups of fresh blueberries
Place blueberries in a 2-quart baking dish, spread evenly. Combine remaining ingredients together and sprinkle over blueberries. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes.

I have some frozen BB's. lol...I might not get any fresh from my bushes this year. I just got 4 ducks and they like them. So, as soon as they have been getting ripe, I've been throwing them to the ducks. Bribes so they will start to come closer to me. It looks good.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that you have ducks! I'd feed them, too! lol
