Boozy Deviled Eggs

Y'all know that my friends are always requesting deviled eggs at meals and fun gatherings.  For our Bourbon theme meal, I went in search of a recipe for deviled eggs that would include our star of the meal.

Rabbit Hole Distillery to the rescue!  These delightful bites do not include the traditional yellow mustard, but substitutes mustard powder instead.

6 eggs
1/2 t. paprika
2 T. mayonnaise
1/2 t. mustard powder
1.5 - 2 oz. Kentucky Bourbon
1/8 t. cayenne pepper

Place eggs in a pot of salted water.

Bring the water to a boil, and let eggs cook in boiling water (approximately 10 to 15 minutes).

Drain eggs, and let cool (may submerge eggs in ice bath)

Peel eggs and cut eggs in half, lengthwise.

Remove the egg yolks and using a fork, mash them together in a small mixing bowl until no longer clumpy.

Mix in the paprika, mayonnaise, cayenne bourbon and dry mustard.

Spoon mixture into the egg shells, sprinkle with additional paprika, cool and serve.
