If you'd like an alternative to regular cinnamon toast, take a few extra minutes and mix up a batch of these lovely cinnamon biscuits. You'll be glad you did!
1 cup flour
1/2 T. baking powder
1 1/2 t. sugar
1/4 t. salt
1/8 t. cinnamon
1/8 cup cold butter
1/2 cup milk
melted butter
cinnamon and sugar to sprinkle on top
Mix the dry ingredients. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Stir in the milk just until moistened.
Drop by large spoonful onto a greased baking sheet or into a cast iron biscuit pan.
Brush with the melted butter and cinnamon sugar
Bake at 425 degrees for 12 minutes or until light brown.
