Heath English Toffee Cookies

I made these for our Super Bowl party dessert and it's very difficult to wait until game time to eat them!

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
1/2 t. salt
3 eggs
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 t. baking soda
2 t. cream of tartar
8 oz. bag Heath Bits of Brickle Toffee Bits

Heat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease cookie sheets.

Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and salt in a large bowl until blended. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together flour baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in toffee bits.

Drop by heaping teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 10- 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly before removing from pans to wire rack. Cool completely.
