Yes, dry roasted peanuts right out of the jar are good. Tasty even. But let Lolly get a hold of them, turn the oven up a little and add some butter and seasonings and you have THE SNACK for company, game night or just when you want a snack.
I served these last weekend for our game night with friends and they were a hit!
4 cups unsalted dry roasted peanuts (if you purchase the salted version, omit the salt in the recipe!)
1/2 stick butter, melted
2 t. ground cayenne
2 T. chili powder
2. t. salt
1 t. ground cumin
1 t. granulated garlic
1 T. sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well to make sure all the peanuts are seasoned. Taste and adjust the seasonings. You make want a little more salt or a little more sweetness. If so, add a little more sugar.
Spread the peanuts in a single layer on an ungreased 10" x 15" rimmed baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
Cool and serve!
