Prosciutto Pizza

Remember the Lodge Cast Iron Pizza Pan I purchased a few weeks ago?  Well, it was time to take it out for a test run!  It passed every test!

Due to time constraints, I used a packaged pizza dough for the crust.  Next time, I'll make one with a homemade crust.

1 Martha White Pizza Crust mix prepared according to package directions
1 jar prepared pizza sauce
3 oz. prosciutto, shredded
2 T. diced green bell pepper
2 T. diced red onion
Mozzarella "pearls"
Freshly grated Parmesan
minced fresh oregano and basil

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Lightly grease a cast iron pizza pan.  Spread dough onto pan and prick with a fork.  Bake for 5 minutes in oven.

Remove from oven and spread sauce to the edges of the crust and add toppings except for oregano and basil.

Bake for 11 - 13 minutes until crust is browned and cheese begins to bubble and brown.  Remove from oven, sprinkle on the oregano and basil and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.  Add additional Parmesan if you'd like.  And you know you'd like!
