I found another great buy at Food City this week. Just look at the size of these chicken breasts along with this amazing price!
These chicken breasts had a healthy amount of smokehouse seasoning. I had every intention of cooking them on the grill, but August + Alabama + heat and humidity = air fryer.
I have an Emeril's French Door Air Fryer and I placed the chicken breasts meat side down on the grill pan. No additional seasoning was needed.
The air fryer has a pre-set option of "chicken." I set the dial and let the fryer pre-heat. The temperature for cooking was 360 degrees. I let them cook for 30 minutes and removed from the air fryer.
I turned them over and returned to the air fryer for 25 minutes at the same temperature. As you can tell from the pic below, they are already developing a gorgeous color!
After the second cooking time was complete, I checked the internal temperature which registered an acceptable 180 degrees.
The meat was flavorful and juicy. The kitchen was nice and cool. I was surprised, and pleased, at how well the chicken was cooked. I'll be doing this method again!
I served the air fryer chicken with sliced tomatoes and a green leafy salad with pickled onions and cucumbers.
That's a nice meal.
