Last weekend, Sweet Harold wanted sushi for lunch. He drove directly to Fuji Japanese Steakhouse in Oxford, AL. We chose the dining room side instead of the chef's side where the food is prepared on a teppanyaki grill
I started with one of my favorites, the Ginger Salad. As always, enough dressing pooled in the bottom of the bowl to dress three more salads. lol
I also enjoyed a steaming hot cup of Mushroom Soup.
I wasn't in the mood for sushi, so I ordered the Shrimp Tempura from the appetizer menu. I love the presentation and you can't beat the crunch factor on these delicious shrimp.
Sweet Harold ordered two different sushi rolls: A California Roll and a Cucumber Roll.
Flavors were on point, and the presentation was lovely.
Service was hit or miss. There was a mix up on what was a special and what wasn't. I ordered water and after one taste, I knew there was a problem. I asked the server to bring me another drink and she replied with, "Did your water taste funny? People have been saying that." Well, perhaps you should have told ME and I could have ordered something else at the beginning.
All of my food came out at one time which was about 10 minutes before H's sushi arrived at the table.
The food was good, but the delivery to the table was disjointed. We left full, but it wasn't a very relaxing meal.
Hopefully, we just caught them on an off day.
That's weird about the water. I love Japanese food.
