Around Lolly's Sideboard: Roosters and Hens


I've always enjoyed having roosters, hens, and chicks in my kitchen.  Through the years, I've collected "hens on nests" and put a few of my favorites on top of the sideboard.

The colorful dinnerware and coordinating salt and pepper shakers, canister set, utensil crock, and spoon rest were all purchased as a set from J.C. Penny 20+ years ago.  They are some of my favorites!



My 90-year-old mother enjoys helping me with the sideboard designs and loaned me her favorite rooster and hen for a few weeks.


 I may enjoy leaving this display longer than I expected.  It makes me smile every time I go into the kitchen.
