Pecan Pesto Parmesan Breadsticks

A few weeks ago, I made pesto with my fresh basil and pecans instead of pine nuts. You can find the recipe HERE! We enjoyed it on pizza, pasta, and I couldn't bear to waste an ounce.

For the pizza, I had purchased a double pack of Mama Mary's pizza crusts.  For this snack, I used the pizza cutter and sliced the crust into 1 1/2 inch strips and placed on a baking sheet.  Then I brushed them lightly with olive oil.  Then under the broiler for a few minutes until they begin to brown.  As soon as I removed them from the oven, I sprinkled the breadsticks with shredded parmesan cheese.  Spoon a light serving of the pesto the length of the breadsticks.  Serve immediately.

Place a small ramekin or serving dish with additional pesto for anyone who would like a little extra!
