Thanksgiving Punch

My mother made a Christmas punch every year for our family's Christmas Eve meal.  It's not Christmas without that mainstay.  This year I decided I'd make a Thanksgiving punch by changing the lime sherbet for orange!

My grandchildren always ask for the Christmas version and what better way to carry on the tradition than to add this to my Thanksgiving menu?

Chill the pineapple juice, lemonade, and ginger ale for at least 4 - 5 hours before mixing the punch in punch bowl.

64 oz. pineapple juice
2 liter lemonade
2 liter ginger ale
orange sherbet

Slowly pour pineapple juice and lemonade into a large punchbowl.  Stir to combine.  Add about half of the ginger ale and stir to combine.  Just before serving, add dollops of orange sherbet to the punch.  Do not stir, just let the sherbet float on top.  As punch is served, you can add the remaining ginger ale and sherbet to the punch bowl.
