Kentucky Legends Ham

This was the first time for me to try a new ham for Christmas.  I normally purchase one of the "big name" hams.  But this year, I decided I didn't need to buy a 20 lb. ham and began to browse through other selections at the grocery store.

I am so glad I took the time to consider other options.  I have a new favorite ham!  Kentucky Legends Ham was so flavorful and tender.

Our ham was about 6 lbs. and boneless.  While the oven preheated to 350 degrees F., I unwrapped the ham and let it come to room temperature.

Then, I placed it in a shallow roasting pan with 1/4 cup of water and covered the pan loosely with foil.   Roast until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the ham registers 130 degrees F, about 1 hour.

I planned on serving the sliced ham with croissants for sandwiches for our family gathering, so I omitted any glaze for the ham.  But if you'd prefer a glaze, the Kentucky Legend website has several recipes for different glazes from sweet to savory!

Also, when you check out their website, go the Legends Club tab and you can sign up for giveaways, coupons, swag, and more!
