Sweet Harold surprised me with a Mother's Day Brunch at the lovely Wills Creek Winery. It was the perfect day to sit outside under the trees with a gentle breeze. I had a more panoramic shot, but I didn't want to invade anyone's privacy, so a little cropping was in order when I get ready to share this picture!
There were two menu options for today's brunch. The second option was a croissant with Canadian bacon, egg, and cheese served alongside roasted potatoes and a green salad.
We chose the first menu option which consisted of a crustless spinach and mushroom quiche, spring mix salad with a tangy vinaigrette, a strawberry/blueberry fruit bowl, and a cream filled crepe with raspberries.
I'll post individual pictures of each item.
The crustless quiche was abundantly filled with fresh spinach and mushrooms. The eggy goodness was surprisingly light and flavorful.
The spring mix salad with added cherry tomatoes was served with a tangy vinaigrette on the side so you could add as much or little as you wanted. It was an excellent pairing with the richness of the quiche.
This crepe was perfection. Thin, light, delicate, but slightly chewy and soft. The cream filling was light and airy and the tartness of the raspberries complemented it nicely.
How nice. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
