We had a great first full day at the Gulf Coast at Mexico Beach, Florida. Within a few miles from our hotel, driving East, you will cross over into the Eastern Time Zone.
Tonight's dinner was enjoyed at Shipwreck Raw Bar. You'll need to be early if you want to be seated without a wait.
I know being here with all this delicious food the need is great to pace myself during our stay.
So tonight I decided to enjoy a Caesar salad with a crab cake from the appetizer menu. Yes, one crab cake. But when you see the size of it, you'll understand why one is plenty! Lots of fresh crab and very little breading which is exactly how you want a crab cake to be, right? Served with a Sriracha mayo, their version hit the spot.
The Caesar salad was cold and dressed with just the right amount of dressing and an impressive amount of freshly shaved Parmesan.
Sweet Harold chose the fried grouper po'boy with a side of slaw. Tarter sauce was served on the side. Fresh grouper is one of the nice things in life.
He thoroughly enjoyed the side of slaw and declared it "delicious." As a slaw expert, you can take the "delicious" to the bank!
All of it looks good. I might have to try and make that mayo for my salmon patties.
