Dining Out Cherokee, NC: Ferrara Italian Grill

Y'all knew it was just a matter of time until I found an Italian restaurant.  We arrived just after opening and were warmly greeted by our hostess, Julie.  She also was our server!  She managed to keep the entire dining room running smoothly being the only hostess/server there during our meal.  She had a great personality and made us feel welcomed.

We started with the fried ravioli which I absolutely cannot resist.  They were perfectly fried and the marinara sauce was thick and well seasoned.

Sweet Harold uncharacteristically ordered soup instead of a salad.  Pasta Fagioli was the soup of the day and he told me repeatedly how delicious it was.

I ordered the house side salad with blue cheese dressing.  It was the perfect size and the spring mix with added diced onions, cucumber, and tomato was crisp and fresh.  The blue cheese dressing was a nice change for me as well.

He ordered the chicken parmigiana.  The chicken was fork tender and the sauce was rich and seasoned perfectly.  The melted cheese layer topping the chicken was thick and gooey.

I ordered the Penne Alfredo.  The pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente and the sauce was the richest and most creamy I've ever had in a restaurant.  This was decadent and worth every single carb.

The garlic knots were served hot and had the perfect level of garlic.

Kudos to the chef and to Julie!  Such a delightful and delicious lunch!
