Regular readers of the blog know that I look for ANY opportunity to have a theme meal. And what better way than to celebrate the Winter Olympics than to have a Russian food meal?

A few years ago, my son visited Russia. He brought back this lovely piece and I chose colors for the table and place settings around this. I treasure this beautiful piece of pottery.

And there's the picture of the dining table. I wanted rustic and homey. I used a mixture of colors, styles and pieces because to me that means comfortable and relaxed in someone's home dining.
