Pepperoni Pizza Pull Apart Bread

This is a great tailgating snack, movie watching nibble, or in our case, enjoy on the condo balcony while watching the Gulf of Mexico waves come into shore.

1 loaf of ciabatta or Italian bread
1 stick butter, melted
1 envelope Good Seasonings Italian Salad dressing mix
1 small package pepperoni
2 cups shredded Italian blend cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Line a baking sheet with foil. Place bread on baking sheet.

Diagonally slice bread in 1 inch pieces in one direction without going all the way through the crust, turn and slice in the opposite direction the same way so you have diamond shaped pieces in the bread.

Whisk in seasoning packet into the melted butter. Carefully pull bread apart and place pepperoni slices all through the bread in each row. Do the same thing with the shredded cheese.

Carefully spoon the melted butter over the entire loaf of bread very slowly so that it soaks into the bread.

Cover with foil and place in oven for about 10 minutes. Remove outer layer of foil and return to oven for 5 additional minutes.

Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping the pieces which you can just tear off a bite or four at a time.

Here's what was left of ours.
