Dining Out Southeast: Western Sirloin Steakhouse, Moulton, AL

Traveling through North Alabama yesterday and stopped for a late lunch at the Western Sirloin Steakhouse, 11383 Al Highway 157, Moulton, AL 35650.  It's always a good sign when the parking lot is packed at 3 p.m.

Yes, you are seeing correctly.  Patrons walk through an authentic silo to get to the hostess stand.

The menu was somewhat limited.  Sirloins, ribeyes, hamburger steak, pork chops, catfish, grilled chicken, chicken finger plates, etc.  The salad bar was $2.79 if added to your meal.  It had all the usual suspects:  iceburg lettuce, assorted vegetables, pickled okra, diced ham, shredded cheese, bacon bits, etc.

Here's a pic of the salad bar salad.

And the star of the lunch:  A 12 oz. Delmonico cooked medium rare.  Perfectly cooked.

If you're passing through the area, and are in the mood for a steak, I can vouch that this was delicious.  Rustic decor was charming and attentive servers were a plus.
