Air Fryer Pork Chops

The fun of experimenting with different types of food in the air fryer continues!

Look at this delicious pork chop that was cooked in 8 minutes.

We were at the right place at the right time recently at Food City.  Sweet Harold was checking out the pork selections when these beauties were being placed in the case.  He was able to snag two packages.  What a deal!

These were 1-inch thick bone-in pork chops which had been marinated.  The flavor and tenderness were already there and all I had to do it preheat the air fryer and pop them in to cook.

I set the air fryer to the "steak" setting because look at these pork chops.  They're the size of beef steaks!  Cooking the chops on the grill pan helped to conduct the heat and to allow them to sear.

I let the air fryer preheat and placed the grill pan into the air fryer.  The steak setting pre-set the temperature at 450 degrees F.  So this was a very hot, very fast cook.

They cooked for 4 minutes and then I removed them (carefully because that grill pan was hot!!) and flipped them over.

Back into the air fryer for another 4 minutes and they had both reached an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.

I covered with foil and let them rest for about 5 minutes.

We enjoyed two meals from each chop!  They were definitely tender and juicy.

Don't pass up on great deals when you spy them in the grocery store even if the item(s) aren't on your grocery list.  I'm really grateful that we were able to get two packages....one to cook now and one to put in the freezer for a later time.
