PowerXL AirFryer Pro: Chicken Wings

These Crispy Chicken Wings were cooked in my Power Air Fryer Pro.

I was given a complimentary appliance for testing purposes by https://www.powerxlproducts.combut all opinions are my own.

There are so many reasons to love this product.  The versatility in preparing traditionally fried foods with no oil, but still enjoying that crunch when you take a bite, is at the top of my list.

The Power Air Fryer Pro definitely prepares food more quickly than a traditional cooking method by the use of its Rapid Air Technology.  Plus, it's not only an air fryer, but a rotisserie, AND a dehydrator.  The product contains three stainless steel air flow racks, a rotisserie spit, 10 stainless steel skewers for cooking kebabs, a rotating mesh basket, along with a drip tray, and three recipe books.

The recipes included in the recipe booklets are easy to follow.  The Power Air Fryer Pro has a variety of pre-set cooking functions which makes the process extremely simple.

For our first time using the fryer, I opted to NOT coat the wings in flour or panko to get a true taste of the "crunch factor."  We tried three different flavors:  lemon pepper, Tone's 6 Pepper Blend, and Canadian Steak Seasoning.

Seasoning blends

Spray the air flow racks with non-stick spray.  I divided up the wings and placed them in separate bowls.  Then, I liberally seasoned them with our chosen flavors and placed them on the air flow racks.

Leave some space around the wings so that the super hot air can circulate properly.  Here are the wings ready to start cooking!

Close the door of the fryer and choose the "french fries" icon on the screen. Adjust the cooking time to 30 minutes at 400 degrees F.

Here they are half way through the cooking time.  Remove the trays from the fryer and flip the chicken wings over. Return the wings to the Power Air Fryer. Press the french fries icon. Cook for 15 more minutes at 400 degrees F.

Internal temperature of the wings should be 165 degrees F.  Here are the wings ready for us to dig in and give them a try!

Our thoughts?  It was very simple to prepare the wings for the Air Fryer and to select the cooking option.  These wings were larger than normal wings so your cook time may vary and require less cooking time.  The crunch was definitely there.  The wings were golden brown.

Next time, I will definitely lightly coat them with flour before cooking to try that option as well.  I cannot wait to try the rotisserie and kebab attachments.

The Power Air Fryer Pro can be purchased at major retail stores nationwide such as Wal-mart, Bed Bath and Beyond, Costco, Kohl's, Target, Sam's Club, Amazon,  or from their website:

  2. I have 2 of the older ones. I love them. Make sweet potato fries for me in one and regular potato fries for the hubby in the other one. No waiting to cook one batch for him and another for me because I'm trying to diet. He loved the wings I made for him in the air fryer. I didn't use flour or panko. This is saying a lot because he loves fried food.
