Dining Out Southeast: Sand Bar Fish House and Grill, Vicksburg, MS

After the BBQ judging today, we spent the afternoon rambling around Vicksburg and wandering through an antique mall.  We enjoyed our gumbo so much last night at the Sand Bar Fish House and Grill, we chose to return there tonight for dinner.

Last night while dining, I noticed there were quite a few meals going out to the dining room with beautifully grilled ribeye steaks.

Tonight, I knew what I was going to order!  The ribeye dinner comes with a dinner salad and your choice of side.  I selected the baked potato.

Here's the dinner salad complete with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onion, shredded cheese, and crumbled bacon.

Now to the main event!  The steaks are available in 12 oz. or 16 oz. size.  I chose the 12 oz.

The steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned.  It's been a while since I've had a restaurant steak that was this tender and flavorful.  The baked potato came plain, but our server brought a plate full of toppings, i.e., butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, and crumbled bacon.  I liked that so I could add as much or as little of the toppings as I wanted.

Speaking of our server, Shelisha, took care of us both nights dined here.  She was right there if we needed anything and made sure we were well taken care of during our meal(s).

Next time, I'll try the fried catfish for sure!
