Yellowstone Season 4 Premiere Meal: Grilled T-Bone Steaks with Sauteed Mushrooms

We've made it to the second main course choice for the Yellowstone Season 4 Premiere Meal:  Grilled T-Bone steaks with sauteed mushrooms.  Here's the link for the Roasted Potatoes.

Remove the steaks from the refrigerator at least one hour before grilling.  I liberally seasoned both sides with Kinder's Buttery Steakhouse Rub.

While the steaks come to room temperature, prepare the mushrooms. Clean 8 - 10 ounces of white mushrooms (or your favorite variety).  Slice each mushroom through the stems.

Add 2 T. of unsalted butter to a skillet over medium heat.  When the butter begins to bubble, add the mushrooms and lightly season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Cook, stirring frequently, until mushrooms have softened.  Remove from heat.  When the steaks are ready to serve, briefly reheat the mushroom and divide among the tops of the steaks.

To grill the steaks per Chef Bobby Flay's instructions:

Preheat the grill.  Place the steaks on the grill and cook until seared and slightly charred, 4 to 5 minutes. Rotate a quarter turn and cook another few minutes until you have those gorgeous grill marks.  Turn the steaks over and continue to grill 3 to 5 minutes for medium-rare (an internal temperature of 135 degrees F.), 5 to 7 minutes for medium (140 degrees F.) or 8 to 10 minutes for medium-well (150 degrees F.).

Let rest for a few minutes before serving.  Top with the sauteed mushrooms.

For dessert, we had Apple Streudels courtesy of Aldi's!  These were delicious.
