This year, the Halloween Sideboard features Edgar Allan Poe and his raven friends. The sepia toned picture (above) captures the mood perfectly.
The raven plates and crystal goblets provide a touch of eerie elegance.
These salt cellars and spoons have been in my family for years. I sometimes wish that salt shakers hadn't been invented!
I felt a portrait of Mr. Poe was essential to the setting.
A copy of his works with a few ink wells anchor the opposite end of the sideboard.
How about these lovely ravens?
This (heavy!!) cut glass crystal pitcher was my great-aunt's. I decided on black and dark purple roses instead of red.
