Grilled Boneless Pork Chops with 4129 Drop Sauce

Recently, at a BBQ judging event, we visited with several of the vendors set up at the venue.  We met this lovely lady and her daughter and learned about their business 4129 Drop Sauce.

Click on the link above to go to their website to learn about their family's history of making BBQ sauce.  You can order sauce and merchandise from the website.

I purchased the spicy flavor and have been waiting patiently for an opportunity to sauce some grilled boneless pork chops.

I seasoned the pork chops with Hardin's Seasoning and preheated the grill on high.  I seared the chops and turned them a quarter turn and seared a few more minutes to get those beautiful grill marks.

Lower the heat to medium and let them continue cooking, flipping them when you have the first side's grill marks done.  Repeat with the second side to get your grill marks there.  When the chops reached an internal temperature of 135 degrees F., I began brushing the Spicy 4129 Drop Sauce onto the top side.  I lowered the lid and let them cook for a few minutes to let the sauce begin to glaze.

Turn them over and repeat the saucing on the other side.  The chops are ready to eat when the internal temp is 145 degrees F.

The sauce was delicious and the spicy version has just enough heat that you can feel a touch of spice on your palate, but not enough that you can't taste the meat.  It's a thinner sauce, so your food won't have a heavy smoky layer of flavor.  It's like a lady who knows just how much jewelry is enough for her outfit and stops when it's just right!
