Dining Out - Gulf Coast - Schooner's

We spent the entire day on the beach yesterday.  Around noon, we decided to walk the .6 miles down the beach to Schooner's for lunch.  Billed as the "Last Local Beach Club" Schooner's is an informal gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.  With views from the opening dining room like the picture above, it's a great place for lunch or dinner.

I finally got my fix of fried oysters.  The request for substituting black beans and yellow rice for the fries was immediately granted.

Guess what Sweet Harold ordered?  Yes, the grouper basket!

Schooner's is open to the week hours in the morning with live bands playing every night.  It's a hidden gem on the east end of Panama City Beach.
