Dining Out Southeast: Decks and Docks, Leesburg, AL Visit #2

Last October, we made a short trip to Leesburg to try out Decks and Docks.  Located on beautiful Weiss Lake, we had a great afternoon dining out on the Deck.  Here's the LINK to our prior visit.

Recently, we decided to give them another try. Unfortunately, we drove through a summertime thunderstorm and everything on the beautiful deck was soaked.  So indoor dining for us!

We were fortunate enough to once again have Courtney as our sever.  Per her suggestion on our prior visit, we ordered a basket of hush puppies to nibble on while we waited for our lunch.  They were as delicious as we remembered!

Sweet Harold selected one of his favorite meals:  fried shrimp, fries, and coleslaw.  The shrimp basket is offered with either 8 or 12 shrimp.  There are several items offered, but we all know that Sweet Harold will ALWAYS choose coleslaw as one of his side items.

I selected the Leesburger with Pepper Jack Cheese with a cucumber onion salad in lieu of fries. The burger was perfectly cooked and the toppings were fresh and crisp.  This was a really tasty burger.

I love cucumber onion salads and this one was extra because there were diced tomatoes added as well.  I'm glad I picked this over the fries.

Next time you're in the area, spend some time at Decks and Docks.  If you're lucky, Courtney will be your server!

  1. I have the ingredients to make a cucumber, onion and tomato salad. I think I'll try making one for our meal tonight.
